Frequently Asked Questions
-
Stir Devotion was created by two women who wanted encouragement and companionship with other believers as they walked with God. It’s meant to fill the gaps that distance and busyness often leave in our modern lives — with short, easy to complete content that stirs the reader up to love and good works. Stir could never take the place of church communities, mentors, or godly friends; it’s simply encouragement and connection with other women walking the Way.
-
As women, our goal is to create content that is geared toward women. However, we also hope and pray frequently that whomever God brings to find these resources will benefit from them. We’ve been delighted to receive feedback from men who are reading our materials, finding them enriching, and using them for inspiration in their own studies.
-
Our studies are written from a whole-Bible perspective and seek to let Scripture interpret Scripture. Stir materials reflect the shared doctrinal beliefs of the women who create them, which include the seventh day Sabbath and the biblical Holy Days that Jesus kept. We encourage every reader to examine the Scriptures for herself (Acts 17:11).
-
We are blessed to have a wonderful relationship with several pastors, and day-to-day doctrinal concerns are discussed with them. Larger publications and projects go through extensive review which include at least one pastor and multiple mentors checking for doctrinal concerns. Like the Bereans, each reader should exercise discernment, regardless of the source.
-
Yes! We hope you will share the goodness with others! We do ask that you kindly share our site with those to whom you distribute our efforts.
-
We love that so much of our content can be accessed at no charge. Even though it does take time, effort and money to produce, it is less intensive than the larger works and is a gift from our team. Publications and projects that require a significant, intensive input of labor from multiple contributors are priced as reasonably as we can make them.
-
Thank you for asking! Because of the intense hours and effort that these projects require, we kindly request that you purchase one copy per person, whether printed or digital, out of respect for the many hours of labor involved. If you or someone you know cannot afford the full cost, reach out to us, as we may have a blessing to share from the generous donations of others. We also offer bulk discounts for orders of 20 or more.

We do not currently offer personal accounts through our website. If you would like to receive a notification when new materials are posted please consider joining our email list.

If you want help with weekly Bible study, start with our weekly Studies content — it’s short, easily manageable content that can help you grow better Bible study habits. Download and print the study guide, and then watch the video and/or read the article.
-
The short answer is both! You may not live right next door to your bestie, so you can definitely solo the weekly study guides or booklets. Many women thrive in community, so our studies are also created with the hope that they will foster connection and deeper relationships within our church families.
-
Our weekly study guides are designed for busy women and should take around 5 to 10 minutes per day to finish. Of course we hope you use our materials to launch into prayer and an expanded study time, but we firmly believe that offering a starting point for better study habits helps women grow closer to God over time.
-
No; however, the second half of the weekly study guide references the video pretty heavily, so watching will be helpful. (For those who prefer reading articles to watching videos, we often include transcripts below the video.)
-
Our free studies are published once a week on Sundays (late afternoon), with the study guides shared to social media on Monday mornings. We also sell larger Festival Study Guides in our store prior to annual holy day seasons.
-
At this time we only offer them in English.
-
If you would like to share one of our studies in its entirety, please link to our website via that study page’s URL. If you would like to use just a portion of our materials (a paragraph or two) please include “by Stir Devotion.”
-
Unfortunately for now we do not have that capability. Please consider our digital options. You are welcome to use the file to print it either personally or by a local print shop, but please purchase one digital copy per reader.
